Haunted House - Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs

I just moved in my new house today

Moving was hard but I got squared away

When bells starting rings and chains rattled loud

I knew I’d moved in a haunted house

Still I made up my mind to stay

Nothing was a-gonna drive me away

When I seen something that give me the creeps

Had one big eye and two big feet

I stood right there and I did the freeze

It did the stroll right up to me

Made a noise with its feet that sounded like a drum

Said «You gonna be here when the morning comes?»

«Say yes, I’ll be here when the morning comes

I’ll be right here, I ain’t gonna run

I bought this house, now I am boss

Ain’t no haint’s gonna run me off»

In my kitchen my stove was a blazing hot

Coffee was a-boiling in the pot

Grease had melted in my hand (pan?)

I had a hunk of meat in my hand

From out of space there sat a man

On the hot stove with the pots and pans

«Say that’s hot"I began to shout

He drank the hot coffee right from the spout

He ate the raw meat right from my hand

Drank the hot grease from the frying pan

And said to me «You better run and don’t be here

When the morning comes»

Say yes I’ll be here when the morning comes

I’ll be right here now, I ain’t gonna run

I bought this house now I am boss

Ain’t no haint’s gonna run me off.

Je viens d'emménager dans ma nouvelle maison aujourd'hui

Bouger était difficile mais j'ai été mis au carré

Quand les cloches commencent à sonner et que les chaînes claquent fort

Je savais que j'avais emménagé dans une maison hantée

J'ai quand même décidé de rester

Rien n'allait me chasser

Quand j'ai vu quelque chose qui m'a donné la chair de poule

Avait un gros oeil et deux gros pieds

Je me suis tenu juste là et j'ai fait le gel

Il a fait la promenade jusqu'à moi

A fait un bruit avec ses pieds qui ressemblait à un tambour

Il a dit "Tu seras ici quand le matin viendra ?"

"Dites oui, je serai là quand le matin viendra

Je serai ici, je ne vais pas courir

J'ai acheté cette maison, maintenant je suis le patron

Ain't no haint va me faire fuir »

Dans ma cuisine, ma cuisinière était brûlante

Le café bouillait dans la marmite

La graisse avait fondu dans ma main (casserole ?)

J'avais un morceau de viande dans ma main

De l'espace il y avait un homme assis

Sur la cuisinière chaude avec les casseroles et les poêles

"Dites que c'est chaud" J'ai commencé à crier

Il a bu le café chaud directement du bec

Il a mangé la viande crue directement de ma main

Bu la graisse chaude de la poêle

Et m'a dit "Tu ferais mieux de courir et ne pas être ici

Quand vient le matin»

Dis oui, je serai là quand le matin viendra

Je serai ici maintenant, je ne vais pas courir

J'ai acheté cette maison maintenant je suis le patron

Aucune haine ne va me faire fuir.
