A young boy playing all alone

In an imaginary world in his father’s home

He escaped from family, hid from terrifying life

His imaginary world sheltered him from his strife

Then he grew, was forced out all alone

But he never forgot his imaginary home

And while all around him was pain and stress

His imaginary world seemed by far the best

So he closed his eyes, sang in a voice so clear

That his imaginary world began to appear

He sang so clear this world alive

And the boy stepped in where he finally could survive

And they made him a king, put a crown on his head

«You sang us this world, that we love!»

they all said

«I don’t wanna be king, just to sing and create!»

«Long live the king, well isn’t he great?»

And as years flew by, he was loved on his throne

Though to tell you the truth, he longed to be alone

«As long as you sit in the throne, you can stay.»

So the terrified boy was forced to obey

So he closed his eyes, sang in a voice so clear

That his imaginary world began to appear

He sang so clear this world alive

And the boy stepped in where he finally could survive

«But I’m tired, and lonely, and so very afraid.»

And the kingdom seems angry, yet he still feared to trade

He had a fair queen, loyal, pure, and true

«Perhaps we should leave, where you go, I’ll go too.»

«But you never have seen the horrors of my land,»

«All the people are slaves and they live lives so bland.»

So they dreamed of escape, but there was no place to go

And they shivered, and cowered, and prepared for his next show

So he closed his eyes, sang in a voice so clear

Un jeune garçon jouant tout seul

Dans un monde imaginaire dans la maison de son père

Il s'est échappé de sa famille, s'est caché d'une vie terrifiante

"Tu nous as chanté ce monde, que nous aimons !"

ils ont tous dit

"Je ne veux pas être roi, juste pour chanter et créer !"

"Vive le roi, eh bien n'est-il pas génial ?"

Et au fil des années, il était aimé sur son trône

Bien que pour vous dire la vérité, il avait envie d'être seul

"Tant que vous êtes assis sur le trône, vous pouvez rester."

Et le royaume semble en colère, mais il craignait toujours de commercer

Il avait une belle reine, loyale, pure et vraie

"Peut-être devrions-nous partir, là où tu vas, j'irai aussi."

"Mais vous n'avez jamais vu les horreurs de mon pays",

"Tous les gens sont des esclaves et ils vivent des vies si fades."

Alors ils rêvaient de s'échapper, mais il n'y avait nulle part où aller

Et ils ont frissonné, et se sont recroquevillés, et se sont préparés pour son prochain spectacle
