A Mermaid's Tale - Almadrava

I have nobody for a conversation,

it might be pretty normal in my situation.

I’m in the ocean, floating under burning sun,

completely alone and trying to find someone.

I hear a song, it’s like a prayer.

This melody shows me the way.

It carries me like the wind, a feather,

and in the nights it’s a shining ray.

Everytime louder, I can hear you sing your song.

I just hope I’ll find you after so long.

I’m nearly fainting, I go on the blink.

It’s fun, so much water and not one drop to drink.

I still remember when I left the ship.

The ones I love, they were all asleep.

No-one believed me, cause they couldn’t hear you,

they must be trying to find, where I was going to.

Je n'ai personne pour une conversation,

cela pourrait être plutôt normal dans ma situation.

Je suis dans l'océan, flottant sous un soleil brûlant,

complètement seul et essayant de trouver quelqu'un.

J'entends une chanson, c'est comme une prière.

Cette mélodie me montre le chemin.

Il me porte comme le vent, une plume,

et la nuit c'est un rayon brillant.

Chaque fois plus fort, je peux t'entendre chanter ta chanson.

J'espère juste que je te retrouverai après si longtemps.

Je suis sur le point de m'évanouir, je vais sur le clignement des yeux.

C'est amusant, tellement d'eau et pas une goutte à boire.

Je me souviens encore quand j'ai quitté le navire.

Ceux que j'aime, ils dormaient tous.

Personne ne m'a cru, parce qu'ils ne pouvaient pas t'entendre,

ils doivent essayer de trouver où j'allais.
