Scrupulosity - Attic

Alice was tossing and turning in bed, unable to fall asleep

All that she had witnessed that day had deeply agitated her

And while she still saw her fellow sister’s scalded arms in her mind’s eye,

a feeling of guilt arose

Voice:

«You have sinned as well»

An affair with a young man from the village led to more than just a broken vow

She knew she was pregnant

Fear was slowly turning into despair as she heard a strange and evil voice

talking to her, whispering in her ear, putting her faith to the test…

Voice:

«…Listen!»

Alice se tournait et se retournait dans son lit, incapable de s'endormir

Tout ce dont elle avait été témoin ce jour-là l'avait profondément agitée

Et alors qu'elle voyait encore les bras ébouillantés de sa sœur dans son esprit,

un sentiment de culpabilité est né

Voix:

"Tu as péché aussi"

Une liaison avec un jeune homme du village a conduit à plus qu'un simple vœu rompu

Elle savait qu'elle était enceinte

La peur se transformait lentement en désespoir lorsqu'elle entendit une voix étrange et diabolique

lui parler, lui chuchoter à l'oreille, mettre sa foi à l'épreuve...

Voix:

"…Ecoutez!"
