Friday night down on Houston,

In a spot called Bamboo Jack’s,

Everyone was doin' the mambo

And drinkin' Golden Cadillacs.

Sally was there with her Daddy.

But Daddy was in a funk

'Cause Sally met up with and took a shine

To a hunk from East Podunk.

And Daddy cried, «Hey, Whatcha doin' watcha doin'?

What’s he got I don’t got?

All I see’s

American cheese.

He’ll melt when you get hot.»

And Sally said:

Saturday night at the same place.

They roll up the bamboo rug.

Everyone was doin' the limbo,

Except Sally and her Podunk Plug.

Seems he took a shine to some chicken

Shakin' her tom-tom-tom.

Sally saw that and---guacamole---

She exploded like the hydrogen bomb.

She cried, «Hey, hey watcha doin' watcha doin'?

What’s she got that I lack?

That chicken is thin

And meaner than sin

And uglier than Bamboo Jack!»

Vendredi soir sur Houston,

Tout le monde faisait du mambo

Sally était là avec son papa.

Fromage Américain.

Et Sally a dit :

« Je vois ce que je veux voir.

Je n'ai pas besoin de toi

Samedi soir au même endroit.

Ils enroulent le tapis de bambou.

Tout le monde faisait les limbes,

Sauf Sally et son Podunk Plug.

Il semble qu'il ait brillé avec du poulet

Secouant son tam-tam-tam.

Sally a vu ça et---guacamole---

Elle a explosé comme la bombe à hydrogène.

Elle a pleuré, "Hé, hé tu regardes faire, tu regardes faire ?

Qu'est-ce qu'elle a qui me manque ?

Ce poulet est maigre

Et plus méchant que le péché

Et plus moche que Bamboo Jack !»

Le mari / La bande : (chanté)

Et il a dit!

La femme : (chantée)

Susie a brillé avec du poulet

Secouant son tum-tum-tum

Sally a vu ça et est partie

Et elle a explosé comme un hot-dog dans un petit pain

Mais elle a crié hey, qu'est-ce que tu fais, qu'est-ce que tu fais?

Qu'est-ce qu'elle a qui me manque ?

Le poulet est fade et j'en ai besoin à la place

Aussi moche qu'un bambou !

Et il a dit que je voyais ce que je voulais voir,
