Dirty little face and two big laughing eyes

Smart as he can be, always on the run

Though he’s only three, you’d swear he’s twenty-one

When you’re feeling down just look around and he’ll be there

Sometimes he’ll make you mad and tear the house apart

But if you see him sad, he will break your heart

And so one lucky day with skies of gray over you

He’ll make them blue

Acting like a star he’s dancing all around

Strumming his guitar though it’s upside-down

Shielding at a bear he’ll make you think it’s really there

That’s Danny!

And though it’s kinda hard for me to understand

One day I will wake and he will be a man

Still somehow, I guess, he’ll always be the same to me

Just my little boy sitting on my knee

Playing with a toy, smiling up he’d be

Nothing I could gain, no well accompanied to take the place

C'est lui, c'est Danny !

Aussi intelligent qu'il puisse être, toujours en fuite

Bien qu'il n'ait que trois ans, tu jurerais qu'il en a vingt et un

Lorsque vous vous sentez déprimé, regardez simplement autour de vous et il sera là

Parfois, il te rendra fou et détruira la maison

Mais si tu le vois triste, il te brisera le cœur

Et donc un jour de chance avec un ciel gris au-dessus de vous

Il les rendra bleus

Agissant comme une star, il danse tout autour

Grattant sa guitare bien qu'elle soit à l'envers

En protégeant un ours, il vous fera croire qu'il est vraiment là

Et même si c'est un peu difficile pour moi de comprendre

Un jour je me réveillerai et il sera un homme

Pourtant, d'une manière ou d'une autre, je suppose qu'il sera toujours le même pour moi
