The Coming of Ettins - Burzum

An icy rock came from the stars.

It melted on Earth,

dripping hearts of stone;

they grew into abominable horrors.

There was no end to it.

The ettins consumed the Earth

with dangerous sorcery

and neverending hunger.

Until they came,

the three gods:

WôdhanaR, ThunaR and FraujaR.

They cast the horror into the abyss.

But many ettins remain,

dead and cold but alive,

dreaming and waiting

in the deep and dark places of the Earth.

Un rocher glacé est venu des étoiles.

Il a fondu sur la Terre,

cœurs de pierre dégoulinants ;

ils sont devenus des horreurs abominables.

Il n'y avait pas de fin.

Les ettins ont consommé la Terre

avec une sorcellerie dangereuse

et la faim sans fin.

Jusqu'à leur arrivée,

les trois dieux :

WodhanaR, ThunaR et FraujaR.

Ils ont jeté l'horreur dans l'abîme.

Mais de nombreux ettins subsistent,

mort et froid mais vivant,

rêver et attendre

dans les endroits profonds et sombres de la Terre.
