I dreamed I’ve stood at the portal at heaven one day

And all I wanted so to enter in But my head bowed in shame when they called my name

For that was my last of sin

Then I could see the gold nails in the hands of my Lord

As he died for the world that was lost

Then I woke and I cried have mercy I prayed

I had dreamed of the old rugged cross

I could see the dear Lord as he beckon to me And he said come to me I’ll give you rest

I’ll forgive all your sins and cling your soul within

Then I knew he was the one who love me best

Then I could see the gold nails…

J'ai rêvé que je me tenais devant le portail du paradis un jour

Et tout ce que je voulais tellement entrer, mais ma tête s'est inclinée de honte quand ils ont appelé mon nom

Car c'était mon dernier péché

Alors j'ai pu voir les clous d'or dans les mains de mon Seigneur

Alors qu'il est mort pour le monde qui était perdu

Puis je me suis réveillé et j'ai pleuré, aie pitié, j'ai prié

J'avais rêvé de la vieille croix robuste

Je pouvais voir le cher Seigneur alors qu'il me faisait signe et il m'a dit de venir à moi, je te donnerai du repos

Je pardonnerai tous tes péchés et accrocherai ton âme à l'intérieur

Alors j'ai su qu'il était celui qui m'aimait le mieux

Ensuite, j'ai pu voir les clous dorés…
