I take back everything I said about the modern technology

I met her on the escalator and that’s good enough for me

It happened in department store where everything is to be found

Well I was going down from first and she was coming up from ground

While stationary moving by

She passed before my eyes

I could not help but turn around

And then before I knew what happened

I was looking up and she was smiling down the

Escalator

From there the whole thing escalated to the fourth floor coffee shop

We talked about the price of things and oh I hoped it would not stop

And then she said she had to go

And oh I did not know if we would ever meet again

But as the escalator slowly took her out of sight she said

«Tomorrow then»,.

.

and then.

Je retire tout ce que j'ai dit sur la technologie moderne

Je l'ai rencontrée sur l'escalator et ça me suffit

C'est arrivé dans un grand magasin où tout est à trouver

Eh bien, je descendais du premier et elle remontait du sol

À l'arrêt en se déplaçant

Elle est passée devant mes yeux

Je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de faire demi-tour

Et puis avant que je sache ce qui s'est passé

Je levais les yeux et elle souriait

De là, tout s'est intensifié jusqu'au café du quatrième étage

Nous avons parlé du prix des choses et oh j'espérais que cela ne s'arrêterait pas

Et puis elle a dit qu'elle devait y aller

Et oh je ne savais pas si nous nous reverrions un jour

Mais alors que l'escalator l'emmenait lentement hors de vue, elle a dit

"Demain alors",.

.

et puis.
