Leviathan - Covenant

I watch minutes grow to hours, and how seasons builds the ages,

every winter dies in sunlight, only to be born again

and the rainfall feeds the forests while the lightning strikesthe trees

turning giants into dust fertile ashes on the ground

i see them going down to the water

where they embrace the silent waves

slowly they’re swallowed by the water

and their breath ascending to the sky

i see them now floating in the water

carried away, carried away

i see wasteland turn into gardens watching oceans giving birth

to fragile little creatures born to grow and multiply

and the children of the children of the firstborn claims theland

building fences for protection from their brothers greedy grasp

i watch kingdom rise and crumble and the nations come and go

only new names for the same things once the limits has beenreached

now i see them lose their intrest in trhe deeds that have beendone

and the wisdom that’s been found, as they return whence theycame.

Je regarde les minutes se transformer en heures, et comment les saisons construisent les âges,

chaque hiver meurt au soleil, seulement pour renaître

et la pluie nourrit les forêts tandis que la foudre frappe les arbres

transformer les géants en poussière de cendres fertiles sur le sol

je les vois descendre dans l'eau

où ils embrassent les vagues silencieuses

lentement, ils sont avalés par l'eau

et leur souffle monte vers le ciel

je les vois maintenant flotter dans l'eau

emporté, emporté

Je vois des friches se transformer en jardins en regardant les océans accoucher

aux petites créatures fragiles nées pour grandir et se multiplier

et les enfants des enfants du premier-né revendiquent la terre

construire des clôtures pour se protéger de leurs frères cupides

Je regarde le royaume s'élever et s'effondrer et les nations aller et venir

seulement de nouveaux noms pour les mêmes choses une fois que les limites ont été atteintes

maintenant je les vois perdre leur intérêt pour les actes qui ont été accomplis

et la sagesse qui a été trouvée, alors qu'ils retournent d'où ils sont venus.
