In a town any town

It was raining

I was walking down the sidewalk

Late one night, alone

I had been alone all that evening

I was rather tired of feeling this way

All of a sudden, I stopped walking

Turned around

And again I saw that I was alone

So, I went on down to the park

I ran into the park

Thought I heard something behind the bushes

But I was alone!

So, I walked down the middle of the road

The car!

The car is coming!

It was gone!

Again, I was alone

So, I walked up the street

Down an ally

Slipped on some mud

I was alone and messy too

Down the sidewalk, past my block

All the lights were out, and I was alone

Walked into my apartment

I was alone

So, I put in my undies

And I was alone

Slipped into my bed, alone

Went to sleep

And I started to dream

I was at this big ball, there were millions of people

And they were all there and so was I!

There was so many people, all of them my friends!

Everyone… everyone talking, laughing, joking with me!

Oh, I was so… So happy.

Oh, I was so happy!

And then… then suddenly, I woke up

And I was alone

Il pleuvait

Je marchais sur le trottoir

Tard un soir, seul

J'avais été seul toute cette soirée

J'étais plutôt fatigué de ressentir ça

Tout d'un coup, j'ai arrêté de marcher

Se retourna

Et encore une fois j'ai vu que j'étais seul

Alors, je suis allé au parc

J'ai couru dans le parc

Je pensais avoir entendu quelque chose derrière les buissons

Mais j'étais seul !

Alors, j'ai marché au milieu de la route

La voiture!

La voiture arrive !

C'était parti !

Encore une fois, j'étais seul

Alors, j'ai remonté la rue

Abattre un allié

A glissé sur de la boue

J'étais seul et en désordre aussi

En bas du trottoir, devant mon pâté de maisons

Toutes les lumières étaient éteintes, et j'étais seul

Entré dans mon appartement

J'étais seul

Alors, j'ai mis mes sous-vêtements

Et j'étais seul

Glissé dans mon lit, seul

Est allé dormir

Et j'ai commencé à rêver

J'étais à ce grand bal, il y avait des millions de personnes

Et ils étaient tous là et moi aussi !

Il y avait tellement de monde, tous mes amis !

Tout le monde… tout le monde parle, rit, plaisante avec moi !

Oh, j'étais si… Si heureux.

Oh, j'étais si heureux !

Et puis… puis soudain, je me suis réveillé

Et j'étais seul
