And now, the end is near

And so i face the final curtain

My frieend, I’ll say it clear

I’ll state my case, of wich I’m certain

I’ve lived a life that’s full

I’ve travelled each and every highway

And more, much more than this

I did it my way

Regrets, I’ve had a few

But then again, too few to mention

I did what i had to do

And saw it through without exemption

I planned each charted course

Each careful step along the byway

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew

When i bit off more than i could chew

But through it all, when there was doubt

I ate it up and spit it out

I faced it all and stood tall

And did it my way

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried

I’ve had my fill, my share of losing

And now, as tears subside

I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that

And may I say — not in a shy way

Oh no, oh no, not me

I did it my way

For what is a man, what has he got?

If not himself, then he has naught

To say the things he truly feels

And not the words of one who kneels

The record shows I took the blows

And did it my way !

Et donc je fais face au rideau final

J'ai vécu une vie bien remplie

J'ai parcouru toutes les autoroutes

Et plus, bien plus que cela

Je l'ai fait à ma façon

Regrets, j'en ai eu quelques-uns

Mais encore une fois, trop peu à mentionner

J'ai fait ce qu'il fallait faire

Et l'a vu jusqu'au bout sans exception

Chaque pas prudent le long du chemin

Quand j'ai mordu plus que je ne pouvais mâcher

Mais à travers tout cela, quand il y avait un doute

Je l'ai mangé et je l'ai recraché

J'ai tout affronté et je me suis tenu debout

Et l'a fait à ma façon

J'ai aimé, j'ai ri et pleuré

J'ai eu ma dose, ma part de perte

Et maintenant, alors que les larmes se calment

Je trouve tout tout si amusant

Dire que j'ai fait tout ça

Et puis-je dire - pas de manière timide

Je l'ai fait à ma façon

Car qu'est-ce qu'un homme, qu'a-t-il ?

Si ce n'est pas lui-même, alors il n'a rien

Dire les choses qu'il ressent vraiment
