Child of God - DAX

Dear God

Thank you for leading me down this path

I’m thankful for the man that I am

At first, I didn’t understand

Now I see the tribulations that I faced, we’re all part of the plan

I tried to walk a way I wasn’t whole

You filled the gap inside heart and let me know I had a soul

I was bleeding on the inside nobody could see

Then I looked into the mirror, he was staring back at me (LexNour)

Now I gotta say

I was lost, where’d I go

Now I’m here, glory road

Child a God, not a sheep

Lost my way, came on home

Used to think the world was cold and I was fighting all alone

Until I made that call and heard his voice and touch right through that phone

All my pain, all my stress

Added to the dumb neglect

I used to take my burdens and disperse them round to all my friends

Anger and frustration was a means but never to an end

Until you picked me up and took that weight right up off my chest

A child a God

Nothing more, nothing less

Born sinner, not by choice

But also born blessed

I could feel the pressure building up and choking at my neck

Then God told me take a breath and he would handle all the rest

I’m not a stranger to evil

I’ve done wrong to people

I’ve told lies but in his eyes I am still equal

My words weaponize, bars save lives they lethal and take off in the sky spread

wings like eagles

My life’s an open book, something for the world to see

People watching what I do, so I’m careful of words I speak

Came up as a child, I never thought that this was what I’d be

But now that it’s my path, I swear to God that I won’t fail to lead

Speaking positivity with every single breath I breathe

Looking up to God, I’m on my hands and down on my knees

Asking him to grant me with the strength in this world agreed

To be the person that will have a shoulder when they need to lean

Promises I made to you, God yes I will keep

May not be who they want, but I’m making what they need

Rose from the dirt in middle of the concrete

And bloomed to a tree to create and disperse seeds

Impact is what I bleed

Won’t fall for anything

I answer to God, I don’t answer to no human being

I am not slave, I am not the devil nor a fiend

I’m a child of God, just like you, we’re on the same team

Grab my hand, stand up, I won’t leave you

You need me just as much as I need you

Fight these battles with me, I promise that you will see through

And stand tall over things beneath you

He is I, and you are him

To see God we must first look within

No where else, no place, no human, no race

Just us, and faith, till we meet again

Merci de m'avoir conduit sur cette voie

Je suis reconnaissant pour l'homme que je suis

Au début, je ne comprenais pas

Maintenant, je vois les tribulations auxquelles j'ai été confronté, nous faisons tous partie du plan

J'ai essayé de marcher d'une manière où je n'étais pas entier

Tu as comblé le vide dans mon cœur et m'as fait savoir que j'avais une âme

Je saignais à l'intérieur que personne ne pouvait voir

Puis j'ai regardé dans le miroir, il me regardait (LexNour)

Maintenant je dois dire

J'étais perdu, où suis-je allé

Maintenant je suis là, Glory Road

Enfant un Dieu, pas un mouton

J'ai perdu mon chemin, je suis rentré à la maison

J'avais l'habitude de penser que le monde était froid et que je me battais tout seul

Jusqu'à ce que je passe cet appel et que j'entende sa voix et touche directement à travers ce téléphone

Toute ma douleur, tout mon stress

Ajouté à la négligence stupide

J'avais l'habitude de prendre mes fardeaux et de les disperser à tous mes amis

La colère et la frustration étaient un moyen mais jamais une fin

Jusqu'à ce que tu me soulèves et enlève ce poids de ma poitrine

Un enfant un Dieu

Ni plus ni moins

Né pécheur, pas par choix

Mais aussi né béni

Je pouvais sentir la pression monter et m'étouffer dans le cou

Puis Dieu m'a dit de prendre une respiration et qu'il s'occuperait de tout le reste

Je ne suis pas étranger au mal

J'ai fait du mal aux gens

J'ai menti mais à ses yeux je suis toujours égal

Mes mots militarisent, les bars sauvent des vies, ils sont mortels et s'envolent dans le ciel

des ailes comme des aigles

Ma vie est un livre ouvert, quelque chose que le monde entier peut voir

Les gens regardent ce que je fais, donc je fais attention aux mots que je prononce

Je suis venu enfant, je n'ai jamais pensé que c'était ce que je serais

Mais maintenant que c'est mon chemin, je jure devant Dieu que je ne manquerai pas de diriger

Parler de positivité à chaque respiration que je respire

Levant les yeux vers Dieu, je suis sur mes mains et sur mes genoux

Lui demandant de m'accorder la force de ce monde d'accord

Être la personne qui aura une épaule quand elle aura besoin de se pencher

Les promesses que je t'ai faites, Dieu oui je les tiendrai

Peut-être pas ce qu'ils veulent, mais je fais ce dont ils ont besoin

Rose de la terre au milieu du béton

Et a fleuri en arbre pour créer et disperser des graines

L'impact est ce que je saigne

Ne tombera pour rien

Je réponds à Dieu, je ne réponds à aucun être humain

Je ne suis pas un esclave, je ne suis ni le diable ni un démon

Je suis un enfant de Dieu, tout comme vous, nous sommes dans la même équipe

Prends ma main, lève-toi, je ne te quitterai pas

Tu as besoin de moi autant que j'ai besoin de toi

Combattez ces batailles avec moi, je vous promets que vous verrez à travers

Et se tenir debout sur les choses en dessous de vous

Fils de Dieu

Il c'est moi, et tu es lui

Pour voir Dieu, nous devons d'abord regarder à l'intérieur

Nulle part ailleurs, aucun endroit, aucun humain, aucune race

Juste nous, et la foi, jusqu'à ce que nous nous revoyions

C'est Dax

Nous avons tous été créés à l'image de Dieu

Chacun d'entre nous

Répandre l'amour

Recevoir de l'amour

Et avoir la foi
