Keyhole - Foundation

No one said that this was going to be so easy

that was just a lie I sang to myself

it only gets harder with every passing day

watch the sun rise through a window the size of a keyhole

to a door that wont be opened

a cross that’s not mine is holding me back

and those bleeding hearts have got me pinned to the ground

this world was meant to keep us on our knees

Told to be grateful for what’s been given

but never given a chance

that’s all we wanted

my mind is a weapon kept tucked away

held back too long

now my emotions have got the best of me

feeling my heart beat like a drum

my legs turned to concrete

there’s no place to run

frustrations have got me by the front of my shirt

my mouth is the barrel to a gun

I’ll climb to my feet, and throw my arms in the air (fire away)

The bullets say «I dare you»

to go on with life this way

you couldnt go another day

I made my way out

the key to the door was breaking it down

Personne n'a dit que cela allait être si facile

c'était juste un mensonge que je me chantais

cela devient de plus en plus difficile chaque jour qui passe

regarder le soleil se lever à travers une fenêtre de la taille d'un trou de serrure

à une porte qui ne sera pas ouverte

une croix qui n'est pas la mienne me retient

et ces cœurs saignants m'ont cloué au sol

ce monde était censé nous maintenir à genoux

Dit d'être reconnaissant pour ce qui a été donné

mais jamais donné une chance

c'est tout ce que nous voulions

mon esprit est une arme cachée

retenu trop longtemps

maintenant mes émotions ont pris le dessus sur moi

sentir mon cœur battre comme un tambour

mes jambes se sont transformées en béton

il n'y a pas d'endroit où courir

les frustrations m'ont par le devant de ma chemise

ma bouche est le canon d'un fusil

Je vais grimper sur mes pieds et jeter mes bras en l'air (tirer)

Les balles disent "Je te défie"

continuer à vivre ainsi

tu ne pourrais pas y aller un autre jour
