You know I’ve had this format for this entire tour

Its billed as «An Evening with»

And I was asked about it, would I do the tour by manager

When I was in the middle of the last tour

So I just said yes without thinking what it actually meant

And then about two weeks before I thought

Well what does «An Evening with"mean?

What shall I do?

And I thought best to arrive on the stage with absolutely nothing

And then see where we go

Which has been really cool, actually, it’s been informative to me

And with regards to the audiences

It’s been pretty well received across the board

Actually, I haven’t had any complaints

Aside from one guy, in Manchester

But his tweet brought me so much joy I cannot tell you

I’m paraphrasing, but his tweet was something along the lines of:

«I went to the Foy Vance gig

And I brought my mum the whole way down from where ever it was

And he didn’t play any of his hits»

Firstly, I’m thinking well you’re at the wrong fucking gig

If you’re looking hits

Was my first thought

But I read on

And then it said the best thing

that I’ve, maybe, ever heard in a tweet

«He didn’t sing any of his hits

But he sang a song about his mates balls»

Which in fairness, I did sing

But it was in context

I was talking about something and then it lead to that thought

And I played that song because it was on my mind

And that’s what I’ve committed to

But even still

I was disappointed that someone was disappointed at the gig

You know what I mean?

I felt a bit bad about that

Ah shit, I didn’t do it to offend you obviously

So I checked out his Twitter

I was going to direct message him

Just to say like

«Look dude I’m sorry, please

What’s your mums favorite song?

Come back to next show and

I’ll give you tickets and whatever»

And while I was there on his Twitter page

I read through his tweets

And it transpired that he’s just a moony bastard

So I thought «fuck him»

Ne considère pas ce soir comme un spectacle

Pensez-y plutôt comme regarder un homme

Tu sais que j'ai eu ce format pour toute cette tournée

C'est présenté comme "Une soirée avec"

Et on m'a demandé à ce sujet, ferais-je la tournée par le manager

Quand j'étais au milieu de la dernière tournée

Alors j'ai juste dit oui sans penser à ce que cela signifiait réellement

Et puis environ deux semaines avant que je pense

Eh bien, que signifie « Une soirée avec » ?

Que dois-je faire ?

Et j'ai pensé qu'il valait mieux arriver sur scène avec absolument rien

Et puis voir où nous allons

Ce qui a été vraiment cool, en fait, ça m'a été instructif

Et en ce qui concerne le public

Il a été plutôt bien reçu à tous les niveaux

En fait, je n'ai rien à redire

À part un gars, à Manchester

Mais son tweet m'a apporté tellement de joie que je ne peux pas vous dire

Je paraphrase, mais son tweet était quelque chose comme :

"Je suis allé au concert de Foy Vance

Et j'ai amené ma mère tout le long de là où elle était

Et il n'a joué aucun de ses tubes »

Tout d'abord, je pense bien que tu es au mauvais putain de concert

Si vous recherchez des hits

Était ma première pensée

Mais je continue à lire

Et puis ça a dit la meilleure chose

que j'ai peut-être déjà entendu dans un tweet

"Il n'a chanté aucun de ses tubes

Mais il a chanté une chanson sur les boules de ses potes »

Qu'en toute honnêteté, j'ai chanté

Mais c'était dans le contexte

Je parlais de quelque chose, puis cela m'a conduit à cette pensée

Et j'ai joué cette chanson parce que c'était dans mon esprit

Et c'est ce à quoi je me suis engagé

Mais même encore

frères et sœurs de London Union Chapel merci d'être venus

J'ai été déçu que quelqu'un ait été déçu lors du concert

Je me sentais un peu mal à ce sujet

J'allais lui envoyer un message direct

Juste pour dire comme

"Écoute mec, je suis désolé, s'il te plaît

Quelle est la chanson préférée de ta maman ?

Je te donnerai des billets et peu importe »

Et pendant que j'étais là sur sa page Twitter

J'ai lu ses tweets

Et il s'est avéré qu'il n'est qu'un bâtard lunaire

Alors j'ai pensé "baise-le"
