Wish - Ghost in the Machine

A robotic step on the cold wooden floor

You don’t notice the floor anymore

Headed off to the daily grind

It’s a pattern well-worn in your mind

You wish you were a wish

At least a wish has purpose

And it means something to someone

Tunnel vision is a way of life

At the end of the tunnel there is no light

Ignorant of another route

This is nothing you worry about

For every dent that you make

Another one is undone

For every day you forsake

Another one still must come

Every day is a brown paper bag

Ignorant un autre itinéraire

Cela ne vous inquiète pas

Pour chaque bosse que tu fais

Un autre est annulé

Pour chaque jour que tu abandonnes

Un autre doit encore venir

Chaque jour est un sac en papier brun
