They’ve gone about as fur as they c’n go!

They went and built a skyscrper seven stories high,

About as high as a buildin' orta grow.

Ev’rythin’s like a dream in Kansas City,

It’s better than a magic lantern show!

Y' c’n turn the radiator on whenever you want some heat.

With ev’ry kind o' comfort ev’ry house is all complete.

You c’n walk to privies in the rain and never wet your feet!

They got a big theayter they call a burlesque.

Fer fifty cents you can see a dandy show.

One of the gals was fat and pink and pretty,

I could swear that she was padded from her shoulder to her heel,

But then she started dancin' and her dancin' made me feel

J'ai compté vingt buggys à essence qui passaient chez eux

Presque chaque fois que je marche en tuk.

'Nen j'ai mis mon oreille sur un téléphone Bell et une femme étrange a commencé à parler !

(Quoi ensuite ! Ouaip !)

Et ensuite ?

Ev'rythin est à jour à Kansas City

Ils ont fait autant de fourrure que possible !

Ils sont allés construire un gratte-ciel de sept étages,

À peu près aussi haut qu'un bâtiment ou une croissance.

Ev'rythin est comme un rêve à Kansas City,

C'est mieux qu'un spectacle de lanternes magiques !

Vous pouvez allumer le radiateur chaque fois que vous voulez un peu de chaleur.

Avec chaque type de confort, chaque maison est complète.

Vous pouvez marcher jusqu'aux toilettes sous la pluie et ne jamais vous mouiller les pieds !
