Wide is the gate

And narrow the way

Into the daylight

And away from all the strangers

Drifting along

Broke to the bone

I float like a new born

Into the morning

And follow the call

Of the dawn in all its glory

I’ll take a stroll on the yellow brick road

Where stories and songs unfold

And maybe it’s odd

But god knows I wrote

The slow rolling poems and songs

On the long way home

Large est la porte

Et rétrécir le chemin

Dans la lumière du jour

Et loin de tous les étrangers

Dérivant le long

Cassé jusqu'à l'os

Je flotte comme un nouveau-né

Dans la matinée

Et suivez l'appel

De l'aube dans toute sa splendeur

Je vais me promener sur la route de briques jaunes

Où les histoires et les chansons se déroulent

Et c'est peut-être bizarre

Mais Dieu sait que j'ai écrit

Les poèmes et les chansons qui roulent lentement
