Last night I dreamt a strange, peculiar dream

A child slept underneath a great bird’s wing

Laid on the ground where warmth was found

Until he woke and crawled away on hands and knees

A snake told stories to the child untrue

The child bent down and felt its poison tooth

Started to die, the bird did fly

Swallowed the snake to save the child, and then he died

The dead bird laid, for three whole days

Then spread its wings and flew away

I woke up early while the sun still slept

This strange dream circulating in my head

Stared at the ceiling, pondered its meaning

The dream would not leave me although I left my bed

La nuit dernière, j'ai fait un rêve étrange et particulier

Un enfant a dormi sous l'aile d'un grand oiseau

Posé sur le sol où la chaleur a été trouvée

Jusqu'à ce qu'il se réveille et rampe sur les mains et les genoux

Voler dans mon rêve

Un serpent a raconté des histoires fausses à l'enfant

L'enfant se pencha et sentit sa dent empoisonnée

A commencé à mourir, l'oiseau a volé

A avalé le serpent pour sauver l'enfant, puis il est mort

L'oiseau mort a pondu, pendant trois jours entiers

Puis il a déployé ses ailes et s'est envolé

Je me suis réveillé tôt alors que le soleil dormait encore

Ce rêve étrange circulant dans ma tête

Fixé le plafond, réfléchi à sa signification

Le rêve ne me quitterait pas bien que j'aie quitté mon lit
