Reading in the Dark - Heathers

Its no walk in the park with no light

I’m impatient and keen and I’m willing to fight

I need help to carry on

And get through this mess that I’m working on

Where do I start, do I finish?

Is it easy, is it hard, is it right, is it wrong?

How many questions am I allowed to ask

Before I fall down and I’m carried along

I am reading in the dark of this lighted room

Thinking of my options that will not begin to bloom

It’s getting more complicated

By the minute

When you’re looking outside at that tall grey brick wall

And a bird catches gaze, falls and stumbles, then squalls

You can’t help but think of those unfortunate lies

That can bury themselves but will suddenly arise

How many crows must you count and then stall

Must you think about carefully then lose and so ball?

When lies do arise can you hide them with truth

Or do they drift, from me to you?

Ce n'est pas une promenade dans le parc sans lumière

Je suis impatient et vif et je suis prêt à me battre

J'ai besoin d'aide pour continuer

Et traverser ce gâchis sur lequel je travaille

Où dois-je commencer, est-ce que je finis ?

Est-ce facile, est-ce difficile, est-ce bien, est-ce mal ?

Combien de questions puis-je poser ?

Avant que je ne tombe et que je sois emporté

Je lis dans le noir de cette pièce éclairée

Penser à mes options qui ne commenceront pas à fleurir

ça se complique

À la minute

Quand tu regardes dehors ce grand mur de briques grises

Et un oiseau attire le regard, tombe et trébuche, puis grogne

Vous ne pouvez pas vous empêcher de penser à ces malheureux mensonges

Qui peuvent s'enterrer mais surgiront d'un coup

Combien de corbeaux devez-vous compter et puis caler

Devez-vous réfléchir attentivement avant de perdre et ainsi de balle ?

Lorsque des mensonges surviennent, pouvez-vous les cacher avec la vérité

Ou dérivent-ils, de moi vers vous ?
