Whisper of Dry Foliage - Helengard

The dry foliage riding on wind is whispering,

Calming down the world with its incantations,

Like it was calling again in morning to go To Battle!

In dreaming depth of blind darkness,

Grey snowstorm fluttering the flags,

Like dead people are loath to go To Battle!

Snow was falling, on forgotten fields,

And keeping its silence

Snow, please cover the bodies of the fallen in battle,

So for the whole night the wind will sing them songs,

So the grass will wake up in the mornings,

By the new life between forgotten bodies…

Le feuillage sec chevauchant le vent chuchote,

Calmant le monde avec ses incantations,

Comme s'il appelait à nouveau le matin pour aller au combat !

Dans la profondeur rêveuse de l'obscurité aveugle,

Tempête de neige grise flottant les drapeaux,

Comme si les morts répugnaient à aller au combat !

La neige tombait, sur des champs oubliés,

Et gardant son silence

Neige, s'il te plaît, couvre les corps de ceux qui sont tombés au combat,

Alors toute la nuit le vent leur chantera des chansons,

Alors l'herbe se réveillera le matin,

Par la nouvelle vie entre les corps oubliés…
