Hanging in the sky

Down by the trail

Leading to a crystal clear river

Bending under the bridge

Looking up at it

I felt a question rise

«Is this a normal thing here»

Judging by the crowd

That keeps on gathering

It’s not a common thing

We’re at Myojin Pond

Named for the deities

That roam the mountains

And the river too

Is this what it is?

Are these those nature gods

Showing a sign of life?

I saw a rainbow except it was not bowed

Floating in the sky

An embodiment of this land

If ever I saw one

What I saw was

An unusual rainbow

Showing all of its colors

And the colors are familiar

Sont-ce ces dieux de la nature

Vous montrez un signe de vie ?

J'ai vu un arc-en-ciel sauf qu'il n'était pas incliné

Flottant dans le ciel

Une incarnation de cette terre
