A vibrating crystal;

frost-whipped and singing through air

Look now, brittle treetops, look now, frozen pond…

Lifeless world, my heart aches like the wind through empty streets

Crushed and degraded, and mapped to the black and the white

Descending like snow, O' holy night

You were the whisper, beside the hardening fear;
