God chose us in his Son

To be his adopted children

Praised be the God and Father

For our Lord Jesus Christ

Who has bestowed on us in Christ

Every spiritual blessing in the heavens

God chose us in him

Before the world began

To be holy

And blameless in his sight

He predestined us

To be his adopted sons through Jesus Christ

Such was his will and pleasure

That all might praise the glorious favor

He has bestowed on us in his beloved

In him and through his blood

We have been redeemed

And our sins forgiven

So immeasurably generous

Is God’s favor to us

God has given us the wisdom

To understand fully the mystery

The plan he was pleased

To decree in Christ

A plan to be carried

In Christ, in the fulness of time

To bring all things into one in him

In the heavens and on earth

Glory to the Father

And to the Son

And to the Holy Spirit

As it was in the beginning

Is now

And will be for ever

Amen

Dieu nous a choisis dans son Fils

Être ses enfants adoptifs

Loué soit le Dieu et Père

Pour notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ

Qui nous a accordé en Christ

Chaque bénédiction spirituelle dans les cieux

Dieu nous a choisis en lui

Avant que le monde ne commence

Être saint

Et irréprochable à ses yeux

Il nous a prédestinés

Être ses fils adoptifs par Jésus-Christ

Telle était sa volonté et son plaisir

Que tous puissent louer la glorieuse faveur

Il nous a accordé dans sa bien-aimée

En lui et à travers son sang

Nous avons été rachetés

Et nos péchés pardonnés

Si incommensurablement généreux

La faveur de Dieu est-elle pour nous ?

Dieu nous a donné la sagesse

Pour comprendre pleinement le mystère

Le plan qui lui plaisait

Décréter en Christ

Un plan à réaliser

En Christ, dans la plénitude des temps

Réunir toutes choses en une seule en lui

Dans les cieux et sur la terre

Gloire au Père

Et au Fils

Et au Saint-Esprit

Comme c'était au début

Est maintenant

Et le sera pour toujours
