Looking out at a city so bright

Darkened, inside the eyelids

You handed over your treasures

Like they hadn’t even become yours yet

Whispering out, «Why do I.»

…and, «How has it come to this?»

A moment’s of interaction

Sanctified by a wish

But the ringing is calling me out

The greatest distraction

I’ll give away all of it

Through emotional reaction

I am made of time

And in that time I concentrate it

Making sounds of what’s in my mind

Nothing can really explain it

It’s the wonderkind…

En regardant une ville si lumineuse

Assombrie, à l'intérieur des paupières

Tu as remis tes trésors

Comme s'ils n'étaient même pas encore devenus les vôtres

Chuchotant, « Pourquoi dois-je ? »

…et, "Comment en est-on arrivé là ?"

Un moment d'interaction

Sanctifié par un souhait

Mais la sonnerie m'appelle

La plus grande distraction

Je vais tout donner

Par réaction émotionnelle

Je suis fait de temps

Et pendant ce temps je le concentre

Faire des sons de ce que j'ai en esprit

Rien ne peut vraiment l'expliquer
