Last last I dreamed that you and I were in awful storm

With no place to go or shelter anywhere

And it took a while to realize the reason for the dream

Now the meaning of it all is coming clear.

The storm was on the trouble we’ve been having

No shelter was the answer we can’t find

And the screaming of the raging wind that chilled me to the bone

Must have been heavy on my mind.

And when today you called to tell me it was over

Lord I knelt when the phone began to ring

Yeah it took a while to understand the reason of it all

But now I know the meaning of the dream.

La dernière fois, j'ai rêvé que toi et moi étions dans une terrible tempête

Sans endroit où aller ou s'abriter nulle part

Et il a fallu du temps pour comprendre la raison du rêve

Maintenant, le sens de tout cela devient clair.

La tempête était sur le problème que nous avons eu

Aucun abri n'était la réponse que nous ne pouvons pas trouver

Et le cri du vent déchaîné qui m'a glacé jusqu'aux os

Cela a dû être lourd dans mon esprit.

Et quand aujourd'hui tu m'as appelé pour me dire que c'était fini

Seigneur, je me suis agenouillé quand le téléphone a commencé à sonner

Ouais, ça a pris du temps pour comprendre la raison de tout ça

Mais maintenant je connais la signification du rêve.
