Judy’s in the sandbox

With gravel in her shoes

She’s playing in the spotlight

Melts sugar with that pose

And everywhere that Judy is

Her lamb is sure to go

He watches how she lifts her dress

And spins into a spell

Ha-a-hoo, he takes a breath, and pulls her in

And shuts her out, and waits to hold her hand

Ha-a-hoo, he looks around and feels her curls

Across his frozen cheek, too close to touch

Judy’s in the sandbox

Baking cakes against the sun

He walks across the playground

She scolds him with a frown

She turns her back to tease him

Then she laughs beyond control

He wipes his brow and steps inside

To play within the rules

Ha-a-hoo, he takes a breath, and pulls her in

And shuts her out, and waits to hold her hand

Ha-a-hoo, he looks around and feels her curls

Judy est dans le bac à sable

Avec du gravier dans ses chaussures

Elle joue sous les projecteurs

Fait fondre le sucre avec cette pose

Et partout où Judy est

Son agneau est sûr d'aller

Il regarde comment elle soulève sa robe

Et tourne dans un sort

Ha-a-hoo, il prend une inspiration et l'attire à l'intérieur

Et la fait taire, et attend pour lui tenir la main

Ha-a-hoo, il regarde autour de lui et sent ses boucles

Sur sa joue gelée, trop proche pour être touchée

Judy est dans le bac à sable

Faire des gâteaux contre le soleil

Il traverse la cour de récréation

Elle le gronde en fronçant les sourcils

Elle lui tourne le dos pour le taquiner

Puis elle rit au-delà de tout contrôle

Il s'essuie le front et entre à l'intérieur

Pour jouer dans les règles

Ha-a-hoo, il prend une inspiration et l'attire à l'intérieur

Et la fait taire, et attend pour lui tenir la main
