When I was a little boy

I’ve been told a few things

Voices that I believed and I followed

But made me feel so wrong

I believed that I would have some friends

I could see all my life

But they thought that it would be a chance

To work and to find a wife

Daddy told me how to be a man

A worker like the one he’s always been
