What a strange and mystic feeling traveling up in the air

I see night turn into morning, the wind carries me somewhere

It’s nicer in this wicker basket than I thought it’d be

Hands behind my head, legs up, the flames are warming me

Over open water, with the sun and the moon

That’s me up in the air there in that hot air balloon

There’s no way to reach me, I am so far away

Smiling as I pass by the mountains of Chile

After a day among the birds and clouds I start to think

I wish before I left I filled this basket to the brink

With food and water, maybe even a bottle of rum

But I can’t be too bothered, I’m enjoying my freedom

Over open water, with the sun and the moon

There’s no way to reach me, I am so far away

I wonder where the winds is gonna take me today

I notice the ground down there is coming to an end

Soon there’ll be just water, maybe I should descend

Slowly coming down… landing in Lapataia Bay

Quel sentiment étrange et mystique de voyager dans les airs

Je vois la nuit se transformer en matin, le vent m'emporte quelque part

C'est plus agréable dans ce panier en osier que je ne le pensais

Les mains derrière la tête, les jambes en l'air, les flammes me réchauffent

Au-dessus de l'eau libre, avec le soleil et la lune

Il n'y a aucun moyen de me joindre, je suis si loin

Souriant en passant par les montagnes du Chili

Après une journée parmi les oiseaux et les nuages, je commence à penser

J'aimerais avant de partir d'avoir rempli ce panier jusqu'au bord du gouffre

Avec de la nourriture et de l'eau, peut-être même une bouteille de rhum

Mais je ne peux pas être trop dérangé, je profite de ma liberté

Je me demande où les vents vont m'emmener aujourd'hui

Je remarque que le sol là-bas touche à sa fin

Bientôt il n'y aura plus que de l'eau, je devrais peut-être descendre
