Western world where the strong survive

And the meek will inherit the dregs

Living now in the twilight time

Will the world hear the answer it begs

Secular and sacred blur

Without even raising a flag

When so many masters call

Is it the tail or the dog that will wag?

With some among us weak at the knees

And many others who do as they please

There still remains a witness

The few who will stand and say

I’ve got strong convictions 'bout the way that I live

I’ve got no concessions that I’m willing ot give

Strong convictions that are worth living by

Strong convictions 'till the day I die

It’s so hard seeing black and white

When so much appears to be gray

WIth no faith in the absolute

It’s no wonder the standard will stray

With bold convictions leading the way

With those who have them willing to say

There is a new horizon

I can say as for me and mine

Pressure makes the perfect diamond

Measure of the saints refining

Don’t ever want to stray

I really want to stay

Steadfast and immovable in Him

Monde occidental où les forts survivent

Et les doux hériteront de la lie

Vivant maintenant au crépuscule

Le monde entendra-t-il la réponse qu'il supplie

Flou profane et sacré

Sans même lever un drapeau

Quand tant de maîtres appellent

Est-ce la queue ou le chien qui remue ?

Avec certains d'entre nous faibles au niveau des genoux

Et bien d'autres qui font ce qu'ils veulent

Il reste encore un témoin

Les rares qui se lèveront et diront

J'ai de fortes convictions sur la façon dont je vis

Je n'ai aucune concession que je suis prêt à donner

Des convictions fortes qui valent la peine d'être vécues

De fortes convictions jusqu'au jour de ma mort

C'est tellement difficile de voir en noir et blanc

Quand tant de choses semblent être grises

Sans foi en l'absolu

Il n'est pas étonnant que la norme s'égare

Avec des convictions audacieuses en tête

Avec ceux qui les ont prêts à dire

Il y a un nouvel horizon

Je peux dire comme pour moi et les miens

La pression fait le diamant parfait

Mesure du raffinage des saints

Je ne veux jamais m'égarer

Je veux vraiment rester

Inébranlable et inébranlable en Lui
