Lucky is the man that walketh not

In the counsel of the wicked

Nor standeth in the criminal ways

Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers:

But his delight is in the law of the peace;

And on his law doth he meditate day and night

And he shall be like a tree planted

By the streams of water

That bringeth forth its fruit in its season

Whose leaf also doth not wither;

The wicked are not so

But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away

Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment

Nor villains in the congregation of the righteous

Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment

Nor villains in the congregation of the psalms

For the peace knoweth

The way of the righteous;

But the short way of

The wicked shall perish

Heureux est l'homme qui ne marche pas

Dans le conseil des méchants

Ni ne s'oppose aux voies criminelles

ni ne s'assied à la place des moqueurs :

Mais son plaisir est dans la loi de la paix ;

Et sur sa loi il médite jour et nuit

Et il sera comme un arbre planté

Par les cours d'eau

Qui produit son fruit en sa saison

Dont la feuille ne se flétrit pas non plus;

Les méchants ne sont pas si

Mais sont comme la paille que le vent chasse

C'est pourquoi les méchants ne résisteront pas au jugement

Ni méchants dans la congrégation des justes

C'est pourquoi les méchants ne résisteront pas au jugement

Ni méchants dans la congrégation des psaumes

Car la paix sait

La voie des justes ;

Mais le court chemin de

Les méchants périront
