I can hear you moving around downstairs.

Dragging your feet as you walk back and forth through the house.

Running your hand over the piano keys absentmindedly as you pass by.

I want to join you.

I sit up slowly in my bed.

It’s dark outside but there’s a light glowing in the yard & it’s coming in

through the windows.

I can hear the wind blowing the leaves around.

I hear your voice downstairs and I want to join you.

Turning away, I walk down the hallway to the stairs where I sit and wait.

The noises have all stopped and i see you standing by the window with your back

to me, the light from the yard wrapping around your hair.

I want to say something but i can’t speak.

The room starts to fade & there is only you in the light and nothing else.

Je t'entends bouger en bas.

Traîner des pieds en faisant des allers-retours dans la maison.

Je m'assieds lentement dans mon lit.

Il fait sombre dehors, mais il y a une lumière qui brille dans la cour et qui entre

par les fenêtres.

J'entends le vent souffler sur les feuilles.

J'entends ta voix en bas et je veux te rejoindre.

En me détournant, je descends le couloir jusqu'aux escaliers où je m'assieds et attends.

Les bruits se sont tous arrêtés et je te vois debout près de la fenêtre avec ton dos

pour moi, la lumière de la cour enveloppant vos cheveux.

Je veux dire quelque chose mais je ne peux pas parler.

La pièce commence à s'estomper et il n'y a que vous dans la lumière et rien d'autre.
