I saw smoke rising over the trees

Running for the car, fumbling with the keys

Pedal to the floor, howling like a hound

Listen to it purr and shift down, turned around, get out of this twisted town

cause I know where theres smoke, theres fire and I’ve been feeling this heat

for a while

The engine roars «Maybe we’d enjoy the great outdoors»

Way up down the road, locked all of the doors then I rolled down the windows

and I yelled «My friends, we aren’t welcome here anymore!

If the world’s gone

cold, let us watch it burn and please don’t wonder why- let’s just assume we

must have taken a couple wrong turns.»

But I know my true desire is to be one with the fire and if you’re not sure,

well maybe you’d enjoy the great outdoors

O’er the fields we go

We bring lightning, we melt snow

J'ai vu de la fumée s'élever au-dessus des arbres

Courir pour la voiture, tâtonner avec les clés

Pédale jusqu'au sol, hurlant comme un chien

Écoutez-le ronronner et rétrogradez, faites demi-tour, sortez de cette ville tordue

Parce que je sais où il y a de la fumée, du feu et j'ai ressenti cette chaleur

pendant un certain temps

Le moteur rugit « On profiterait peut-être du grand air »

Tout en haut de la route, j'ai verrouillé toutes les portes puis j'ai baissé les fenêtres

et j'ai crié « Mes amis, nous ne sommes plus les bienvenus ici !

Si le monde est parti

froid, regardons-le brûler et s'il vous plaît ne vous demandez pas pourquoi - supposons simplement que nous

a dû prendre quelques mauvais virages. »

Mais je sais que mon vrai désir est de ne faire qu'un avec le feu et si tu n'es pas sûr,

bien peut-être que vous aimeriez le grand air

Au-delà des champs, nous allons

Nous apportons la foudre, nous faisons fondre la neige
