Walking Up a Hill - Teitur

Last night I had a dream I was walking up a hill

I picked berries on my way and I got to know the hill

I got to know the redwings and their every song and call

I knew why they were so loud, I knew why they were still

I got to know a stream, it was hidden 'neath the moss

And I got to know my path and the perils on the hill

I got to know a raven who followed me around

I sang a raven’s croak and he was happy on his wings

When I reached the top I went back down the hill

I met some strangers there, I gave them berries on their way

I told them about the redwings and when to leave them be

I showed them where to drink from the stream on the hill

I showed them where the raven would follow them until

They reached to the top of the hill

La nuit dernière, j'ai rêvé que je montais une colline

J'ai cueilli des baies sur mon chemin et j'ai appris à connaître la colline

J'ai appris à connaître les ailes rouges et chacune de leurs chansons et appels

Je savais pourquoi ils étaient si bruyants, je savais pourquoi ils étaient toujours

Je leur ai montré où boire au ruisseau sur la colline
