The Town (Narration) - The Band

Years ago.

..

there was a place called the Land of Point.

And that is because everything in the Land of Point had one.

The barns, the houses, the carts, everything, even the people.

Everyone in the Land of Point had a point on the top of their head.

Everyone, that is.

..

with the exception of Oblio.

Now, although Oblio was born to a set of normally pointed parents and although

he was born physically perfect in every other respect, he was born without a

point.

He was round headed.

And as time past Oblio became increasingly aware of his uniqueness and so did

everyone else, which made life in the Land of Point rather uncomfortable for

him and his parents.

You see, Oblio became sort of a involuntary celebrity and he was subject to the

sometimes cruel and unusual harassment from his schoolmates.

It wasn’t easy being the only pointless person in the whole Land of Point.

And in an effort to make life easier his mother knitted a pointed cap for him

to wear.

..

it was to conceal his pointless condition.

But it didn’t do much good because everyone knew he didn’t have a point.

So it only managed to make Oblio a little lonelier.

In fact, the only real friend that he had was his dog — Arrow.

Il y a des années.

il y avait un lieu appelé le Pays du Point.

Et c'est parce que tout au Pays du Point en avait un.

Les granges, les maisons, les charrettes, tout, même les gens.

Tout le monde au pays du point avait un point sur le dessus de la tête.

Tout le monde, c'est.

à l'exception d'Oblio.

Maintenant, bien qu'Oblio soit né d'un ensemble de parents normalement pointus et bien que

il est né physiquement parfait à tous autres égards, il est né sans

indiquer.

Il avait la tête ronde.

Et au fil du temps, Oblio est devenu de plus en plus conscient de son caractère unique, tout comme

tous les autres, ce qui rendait la vie au Pays du Point plutôt inconfortable pour

lui et ses parents.

Vous voyez, Oblio est devenu une sorte de célébrité involontaire et il a été soumis à la

harcèlement parfois cruel et inhabituel de la part de ses camarades de classe.

Ce n'était pas facile d'être la seule personne inutile dans tout le pays du point.

Et dans un effort pour simplifier la vie, sa mère lui a tricoté un bonnet pointu

porter.

..

c'était pour cacher son état inutile.

Mais cela n'a pas servi à grand-chose car tout le monde savait qu'il n'avait pas raison.

Il n'a donc réussi qu'à rendre Oblio un peu plus solitaire.

En fait, le seul vrai ami qu'il avait était son chien - Arrow.
