The first noel

The angels did say

Was to certain poor shephards

In fields as they lay

In fields where they lay

Keeping their sheep

In a cold winters night

That was so deep

They looked up and saw a great star

Shining in the east beyond them far

And to the Earth it’s great life

And so it continued both day and night

This star drew night through north west

For Bethlehem it took it’s rest

And there it did both stop and say

Right over the place where Jesus lay

Ils ont levé les yeux et ont vu une grande étoile

Brillant à l'est au-delà d'eux

Cette étoile a attiré la nuit à travers le nord-ouest

Pour Bethléem, il a fallu du repos

Et là, il s'est à la fois arrêté et dit
