My brain is just a jellyfish in the ocean of my head

And now all I really want from life is to crawl back into bed

Well I woke up this morning, the phone was ringing

And my boss was talkin', just kept on squawkin'

Like a vacuum cleaner, like a barking dog

Like a headache screaming through my mental fog

Pulled on my pants headed towards the door

But the room began to spin and I fell to the floor

Almost made it to work, got stopped along the way

Two girls said «Hey, wanna come with us to Santa Fe?»

I said «I'd love to, but you see I gotta get to my job.»

When they knocked me out and threw me in the back of their Saab

(and me, just minding my own business like that, you know?)

Well I woke up somewhere around Pagosa Springs

Both of 'em lookin' at me, gigglin' and whisperin' things

We arrived at their house, a big adobe palace

I gave a lecherous look to the girl named Alice

(oh Alice, what a dreamboat… I could tell we were meant for each other)

I could tell right away that they both were willin'

But the next thing that happened wasn’t quite so thrillin'

They said «First you gotta come up and meet Mary’s mom.»

But it wasn’t a mom, more like an atom bomb hit

And this came out from where the earth was split

Rolling pin in hand, Gestapo patch on arm

She was mean, and she bound to do me some harm

So I run down the steps in the front of the house

Back to the highway I scurry, like a mouse

Pick up my backpack, take out some rum

Take a big long swig and stick out my thumb

(Get me outta this place man, this is not what I signed up for…)

Eh bien, je me suis réveillé ce matin, le téléphone sonnait

Et mon patron parlait, continuait juste à squawkin'

Comme un aspirateur, comme un chien qui aboie

Comme un mal de tête hurlant à travers mon brouillard mental

J'ai mis mon pantalon en direction de la porte

Mais la pièce a commencé à tourner et je suis tombé par terre

J'ai presque réussi à travailler, j'ai été arrêté en cours de route

Deux filles ont dit "Hé, tu veux venir avec nous à Santa Fe ?"

J'ai dit "J'adorerais, mais tu vois, je dois aller à mon travail."

Quand ils m'ont assommé et m'ont jeté à l'arrière de leur Saab

(et moi, je m'occupe de mes propres affaires comme ça, tu sais ?)

Eh bien, je me suis réveillé quelque part autour de Pagosa Springs

Tous les deux me regardent, riant et chuchotant des choses

Nous sommes arrivés à leur maison, un grand palais en pisé

J'ai jeté un regard lubrique à la fille nommée Alice

(oh Alice, quel bateau de rêve ... Je pouvais dire que nous étions faits l'un pour l'autre)

Je pouvais dire tout de suite qu'ils étaient tous les deux prêts

Mais la prochaine chose qui s'est produite n'était pas si excitante

Ils ont dit "D'abord tu dois monter et rencontrer la mère de Mary."

Mais ce n'était pas une maman, plutôt un coup de bombe atomique

Et ceci est sorti d'où la terre a été fendue

Rouleau à pâtisserie à la main, écusson Gestapo sur le bras

Elle était méchante et elle devait me faire du mal

Alors je descends les marches devant la maison

De retour sur l'autoroute, je me précipite, comme une souris

Ramasse mon sac à dos, sors du rhum

Prends une longue gorgée et sors mon pouce

(Sortez-moi de cet endroit mec, ce n'est pas pour ça que je me suis inscrit...)

Si vous buvez trop de tequila, restez à la maison le lendemain.»

(Ne plaisante pas avec les femmes de Santa Fe, croyez-moi.)
