Every day there’s something new

So many things we go through

We search for the perfect view

But, it’s always so hard to find

It’s all about good timing

We might see it all, or not a thing

It’s just another pearl on a string

There’s a big event tonight

And if everything goes right

I’ll be flying like a kite

Unless that wind decides to stop blowin'

What will I do then?

I might fall or I could spread my wings

It’s just another pearl on the string

I’m blinded by a light

A total lack of insight

When I think that I just might

Have to settle for what’s not special

Though I know all too well

It don’t matter in the scheme of things

It’s just another pearl on the string

You can’t always be an angel

You can’t always be smart

It is all one big lesson to be learned

If you can find it in your heart

There is bad and there is great

I’ve see crooked, I’ve seen straight

Not much love, too much hate

But the world it still keeps on turning

Again, and again

It might feel good, or you might feel a sting

But it’s just a pearl on the string

It don’t matter in the scheme of things

Chaque jour il y a quelque chose de nouveau

Tant de choses que nous traversons

Nous recherchons la vue parfaite

Mais c'est toujours si difficile à trouver

Tout est question de bon timing

Nous pouvons tout voir, ou rien

Je pourrais tomber ou je pourrais étendre mes ailes

Un manque total de perspicacité

Quand je pense que je pourrais juste

Doit se contenter de ce qui n'est pas spécial

Bien que je ne sache que trop bien

Peu importe dans l'ordre des choses

Vous ne pouvez pas toujours être un ange

Vous ne pouvez pas toujours être intelligent

C'est tout une grande leçon à apprendre 

Si vous pouvez le trouver dans votre cœur

Il y a du mauvais et il y a du bon

J'ai vu de travers, j'ai vu droit

Pas beaucoup d'amour, trop de haine

Mais le monde continue de tourner

Encore et encore

Cela peut vous faire du bien ou vous pouvez ressentir une piqûre

Mais ce n'est qu'une perle sur la chaîne
