Well, once in a town by Kapokee Land

There was a path, a sea and a land

The neighbors weren’t very nice though

They made is a mysterious place to go

The giraffes they didn’t' know what to do they weren’t very happy at the zoo

They stretched their long and slender necks

To try and get the leaves

They couldn’t and the gorillas cried boo hoo

They didn’t' dig life at the zoo

They could only eat and piss and poo

While the humans examined everything they’d do

They teased and laughed at the animals

Made faces at the animals

But what the humans didn’t know

They were confined in cages that didn’t show

So the peopel came and went away

Back to the ever daily day

With little to do and less to say

And their minds would wander

And their thoughts would stray

Past the walls of Kapookee Land

Castles of mud, rivers of sand

What they wouldn’t understand

Is they lived in a prison built by man

So man survived and life went on

Stood on the verge of getting it on

Never knowing all along

That somewhere something was all wrong

The walls that he sat behind

Were vague and undefined

And so he’d never find

He was confined inside

Our bars are invisible

Eh bien, une fois dans une ville près de Kapokee Land

Il y avait un chemin, une mer et une terre

Les voisins n'étaient pas très gentils par contre

Ils ont créé un endroit mystérieux où aller

Les girafes ne savaient pas quoi faire, elles n'étaient pas très heureuses au zoo

Ils ont étiré leurs cous longs et fins

Essayer d'obtenir les feuilles

Ils ne pouvaient pas et les gorilles criaient boo hoo

Ils n'ont pas creusé la vie au zoo

Ils ne pouvaient que manger et pisser et faire caca

Pendant que les humains examinaient tout ce qu'ils feraient

Ils ont taquiné et ri des animaux

Fait des grimaces aux animaux

Mais ce que les humains ne savaient pas

Ils étaient confinés dans des cages qui ne montraient pas

Alors les gens sont venus et sont repartis

Retour à la journée quotidienne

Avec peu à faire et moins à dire

Et leurs esprits vagabondaient

Et leurs pensées s'égareraient

Passé les murs de Kapookee Land

Châteaux de boue, rivières de sable

Ce qu'ils ne comprendraient pas

Vivent-ils dans une prison construite par l'homme ?

Alors l'homme a survécu et la vie a continué

Était sur le point de l'obtenir sur

Ne jamais savoir depuis le début

Que quelque part quelque chose n'allait pas

Les murs derrière lesquels il était assis

Étaient vagues et indéfinis

Et donc il ne trouverait jamais

Il était confiné à l'intérieur

Nos barres sont invisibles
