I once had a girl, or should I say, she once had me…

She showed me her room, isn’t it good, norwegian wood?

She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere

So I looked around and I noticed there wasn’t a chair

I sat on a rug, drinking her wine, biting my time

We talked until two and then she said, «It's time for bed»

She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh

I told her I didn’t and crawled off to sleep in the bath

And when I awoke, I was alone, this bird had flown

So I lit a fire, isn’t it good, norwegian wood

J'ai eu une fille, ou devrais-je dire, elle m'a eu une fois…

Elle m'a montré sa chambre, n'est-ce pas bien, du bois norvégien ?

Elle m'a demandé de rester et elle m'a dit de m'asseoir n'importe où

Alors j'ai regardé autour de moi et j'ai remarqué qu'il n'y avait pas de chaise

Je me suis assis sur un tapis, buvant son vin, mordant mon temps

Nous avons parlé jusqu'à deux heures, puis elle a dit : "C'est l'heure d'aller au lit"

Elle m'a dit qu'elle travaillait le matin et a commencé à rire

Je lui ai dit que non et j'ai rampé pour dormir dans le bain

Et quand je me suis réveillé, j'étais seul, cet oiseau avait volé

Alors j'ai allumé un feu, n'est-ce pas bon, du bois norvégien
