This Past Presence - Wobbler

All this time

and still I have no answer

hear them call

the night keeps drawing closer

in on me

Lying still

watching while they’re dancing

secret smiles

see!

— they are rejoicing

in the lights

Walking in an ancient woodland

among the sky high trees

on playful paths

I’m searching inwards

nothing’s like it seems.

Brother rabbit’s burrow

secretly hidden

beneath the dancing stream

in the hour of dawn

in a dance with fawns

within the forest palm

All this and more

stands here from before

I sense the past in this present

The wood and me are one

we’re always moving on

travelling through ages long

eagerly we chant our songs

and when night goes black

we fall to rest

we cuddle up in feathered nests

and rise again by break of dawn.

Tout ce temps

et je n'ai toujours pas de réponse

les entendre appeler

la nuit se rapproche

dans sur moi

Toujours allongé

regarder pendant qu'ils dansent

sourires secrets

voir!

- ils se réjouissent

dans les lumières

Marcher dans un bois ancien

parmi les arbres très hauts

sur des chemins ludiques

Je cherche à l'intérieur

rien n'est comme il semble.

Le terrier du frère lapin

secrètement caché

sous le ruisseau dansant

à l'heure de l'aube

dans une danse avec des faons

dans la forêt de palmiers

Tout cela et plus

se tient ici d'avant

Je sens le passé dans ce présent

Le bois et moi ne faisons qu'un

nous avançons toujours

voyager à travers les âges

avec impatience nous chantons nos chansons

et quand la nuit devient noire

nous tombons pour nous reposer

on se blotti dans des nids de plumes

et se lève à l'aube.
