Finally out of the city and it’s pretty feel the grass between my toes

And I don’t think there’s anything better than this smell that fills my nose

And how I would love to express the way I feel inside

But that’s alright, content enough to just sit here for a while

And watch me smile

Now I got a notion which includes the ocean

See the surf break on the sand

And I’m wondering to myself

What it would be to leave the land

And float forever on an endless sea to be truly free

Content enough to be living like a fish under the but that’s just me

You see there ain’t no place around here where I can just truly seer

And transgress with all my memories in this once full glass of beer

And there ain’t no place I can lie

Where the grass grows 12 miles high

Where I can sit and watch the sky

While the wind gently blows by

Now I’m finally thinking about nothing

Except this brilliant starry sky

And how wonderful it would be to play up there for a little while

To be a body in the universe

Maybe a galaxy to be truly free maybe

A million miles away but very free

Like a bird out of cage

Like a book without a page

Like an anger venting rage

Like a man who doesn’t age

Like a knife without a blade

An endless parade

A lyricless serenade

Very free, finally

Enfin hors de la ville et c'est joli de sentir l'herbe entre mes orteils

Et je ne pense pas qu'il y ait quelque chose de mieux que cette odeur qui remplit mon nez

Et comment j'aimerais exprimer ce que je ressens à l'intérieur

Mais ce n'est pas grave, assez de contenu pour rester assis ici pendant un moment

Et regarde-moi sourire

Maintenant j'ai une notion qui inclut l'océan

Voir le spot de surf sur le sable

Et je me demande

Qu'est-ce que ce serait de quitter la terre ?

Et flotter pour toujours sur une mer sans fin pour être vraiment libre

Suffisamment content pour vivre comme un poisson sous le mais c'est juste moi

Tu vois, il n'y a pas d'endroit par ici où je peux vraiment voir

Et transgresser avec tous mes souvenirs dans ce verre de bière une fois plein

Et il n'y a pas d'endroit où je peux mentir

Où l'herbe pousse 12 miles de haut

Où je peux m'asseoir et regarder le ciel

Tandis que le vent souffle doucement

Maintenant je pense enfin à rien

Sauf ce ciel étoilé brillant

Et comme ce serait merveilleux de jouer là-bas pendant un petit moment

Être un corps dans l'univers

Peut-être une galaxie pour être vraiment libre peut-être

À des millions de kilomètres, mais très gratuit

Comme un oiseau hors de sa cage

Comme un livre sans page

Comme une rage de décharge de colère

Comme un homme qui ne vieillit pas

Comme un couteau sans lame

Un défilé sans fin

Une sérénade sans paroles

Très gratuit, enfin
