The light is fading

But I seek no shelter

For a wish was born after sunset

And through the gathering shadows

I shall wander, in search of the light

I behold the gathering darkness

The beast that slowly stirs

Never yielding, never healing

For a flame within still burns

I know that the shadows will take me But never break me;

for a glimpse of a star

Dying within, free from sin

The last breath still reaching for truth

Shackled in chains of humanity

Shackled in chains of weakness

Shackled in chains of unending hunger

Never torn asunder

But that star once shined through the walls of my heart

I saw the dream that I feared

And the stormwinds blew to be born anew

To die to fight for my life

See the countless aeons turn

Bu the flame within still burns

La lumière s'estompe

Mais je ne cherche pas d'abri

Car un souhait est né après le coucher du soleil

Et à travers les ombres qui se rassemblent

Je vais errer, à la recherche de la lumière

La promesse faite il y a si longtemps

Pour trouver cette chaleur et cette lueur

Une fois vu dans le rêve d'un cœur pur

Conduira mon âme à travers les ténèbres…

Je vois les ténèbres s'accumuler

La bête qui s'agite lentement

Ne jamais céder, ne jamais guérir

Pour une flamme à l'intérieur brûle encore

Je sais que les ombres me prendront Mais ne me brise jamais ;

pour un aperçu d'une étoile

Mourir à l'intérieur, libre du péché

Le dernier souffle cherchant toujours la vérité

Enchaîné dans les chaînes de l'humanité

Enchaîné dans des chaînes de faiblesse

Enchaîné dans les chaînes de la faim sans fin

Jamais déchiré

Mais cette étoile a jadis brillé à travers les murs de mon cœur

J'ai vu le rêve que je craignais

Et les vents violents ont soufflé pour naître de nouveau

Mourir pour se battre pour ma vie

Battez-vous pour ma vie…

Voir les innombrables éons tourner
