The moon is nearly full

These old hills are full of light

The woman I love don’t want me

And people I just can’t feel right

I got a lot of friends

And they are so kind to me

But they’re just kind to a shadow

Of the man I used to be

She loves somebody else

That story’s older than the moon

I wrote my one little chapter

I hope to close the book real soon

Morning has to come

And the black sky turn to blue

She told me that she loved me

While she let another man come to her

The moon is nearly full

I only want to hold her tight

Until they put me under the ground

People, I ain’t never gonna feel right

La lune est presque pleine

Ces vieilles collines sont pleines de lumière

La femme que j'aime ne veut pas de moi

Et les gens avec qui je ne me sens pas bien

J'ai beaucoup d'amis

Et ils sont si gentils avec moi

Mais ils sont juste gentils avec une ombre

De l'homme que j'étais

Elle aime quelqu'un d'autre

Cette histoire est plus vieille que la lune

J'ai écrit mon seul petit chapitre

J'espère fermer le livre très bientôt

Le matin doit venir

Et le ciel noir devient bleu

Elle m'a dit qu'elle m'aimait

Alors qu'elle a laissé un autre homme venir à elle

La lune est presque pleine

Je veux seulement la serrer fort

Jusqu'à ce qu'ils me mettent sous terre

Les gens, je ne me sentirai jamais bien
