My daddy was a brakeman on a highball traveling train

Mama she raised four little children and the family had a good name

Big brother went to college and became a doctor man

I guess he makes about a million dollars a year off the folks own insurance plan

He’s got a big long Mercedes Benz and a house overlooking the town

He sits in his Jacuzzi and he watches the sun go down

And he feels real sorry for me I’m the black sheep of the family

Yeah I drive me a big ol' semi truck I’m makin' payments on a two room shack

My wife she waits on tables and at night she rubs my back

And I tell her what my papa said to my mama when he got off a highball train

Wake me up early be good to my dogs and teach my children to pray

Little sister married a banker yeah he owns a country club

He bought her a big ol' racing horse and a funny lookin' little dog

He buys her big rings and diamonds and a brand new Japanese yacht

They like to get together and talk about all the things they’ve got

But they never mention me I’m the black sheep of the family

Maman, elle a élevé quatre petits enfants et la famille avait un bon nom

Grand frère petit frère soeur aussi aucun d'eux ne s'est avéré à moitié mauvais

Grand frère est allé à l'université et est devenu médecin

Je suppose qu'il gagne environ un million de dollars par an grâce à son propre régime d'assurance

Il a une grande et longue Mercedes Benz et une maison surplombant la ville

Il est assis dans son jacuzzi et il regarde le soleil se coucher

Et il se sent vraiment désolé pour moi, je suis le mouton noir de la famille

Ouais, je me conduis un gros camion semi-remorque, je fais des paiements sur une cabane de deux pièces

Ma femme, elle sert aux tables et la nuit, elle me frotte le dos

Et je lui dis ce que mon papa a dit à ma maman quand il est descendu d'un train highball

Réveille-moi tôt, sois gentil avec mes chiens et apprends à mes enfants à prier

Petite sœur a épousé un banquier ouais il possède un country club

Il lui a acheté un gros cheval de course et un drôle de petit chien

Il achète ses grosses bagues et ses diamants et un tout nouveau yacht japonais

Ils aiment se réunir et parler de tout ce qu'ils ont

Mais ils ne me mentionnent jamais, je suis le mouton noir de la famille

Ouais, je me conduis un gros vieux semi-remorque…

Je dis femme, réveille-moi tôt, sois gentille avec mes chiens
