When I was sixteen

I developed a brain problem

I mean a real brain problem

I wanted to

I did it because I wanted to

And the problem would remit

But it wouldn’t get better

It wouldn’t quit

It would just fester

So, God grant me strength

To know what is a brain problem

And what is just me

When I was sixteen

I realised I had always had a brain problem

I wanted to

Drop dead right then and there

I wanted to live forever

And I can’t believe

I made it to twenty-three

Without a scratch on me

And the problem comes and goes

With the weather

And I know

Just 'cause it’s not getting better now

Doesn’t mean it won’t ever

So God grant me strength

To know what is a brain problem

And what is just me

Quand j'avais seize ans

J'ai développé un problème cérébral

Je veux dire un vrai problème de cerveau

Je voulais

Je l'ai fait parce que je voulais

Et le problème serait remis

Mais ça ne s'améliorerait pas

Ça n'arrêterait pas

Ça ne ferait que s'envenimer

Alors, que Dieu me donne la force

Savoir ce qu'est un problème cérébral

Et qu'est-ce que moi ?

Quand j'avais seize ans

J'ai réalisé que j'avais toujours eu un problème cérébral

Je voulais

Tomber mort tout de suite et là

Je voulais vivre pour toujours

Et je ne peux pas croire

J'ai atteint 23 ans

Sans une égratignure sur moi

Et le problème va et vient

Avec la météo

Et je sais

Juste parce que ça ne va pas mieux maintenant

Cela ne veut pas dire que ça ne sera jamais

Alors Dieu m'accorde la force

Savoir ce qu'est un problème cérébral

Et qu'est-ce que moi ?
