And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals

And I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying

Come and see

And I saw, and behold a white horse:

And he that sat on him had a bow;

And a crown was given unto him:

And he went forth conquering, and to conquer

And there went out another horse that was red:

And power was given unto him that sat thereon

To take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another:

And there was given unto him a great sword

And I beheld, and lo a black horse;

And he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand

And I looked, and behold a pale horse:

And his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him

And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth

To kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the

earth

And I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God

And for the testimony which they held:

And they cried with a loud voice, saying

How long, O Lord, holy and true

Dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

And white robes were given unto every one of them;

And it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season

Until their fellowservants also and their brethren

That should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled

And, lo, there was a great earthquake;

And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair

And the moon became as blood;

And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together;

And every mountain and island were moved out of their places

And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men

And the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man

Hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

And said to the mountains and rocks

Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne

And from the wrath of the Lamb:

For the great day of his wrath is come;

and who shall be able to stand?

Et j'ai vu quand l'Agneau a ouvert l'un des sceaux

Et j'ai entendu, comme si c'était le bruit du tonnerre, l'une des quatre bêtes dire

Viens et vois

Et je vis, et voici un cheval blanc :

Et celui qui était assis dessus avait un arc ;

Et une couronne lui fut donnée :

Et il partit en vainqueur, et pour vaincre

Et il sortit un autre cheval qui était rouge:

Et le pouvoir fut donné à celui qui était assis dessus

Pour retirer la paix de la terre, et qu'ils s'entre-tuent :

Et il lui fut donné une grande épée

Et je vis et je vis un cheval noir ;

Et celui qui était assis dessus avait une paire de balances à la main

Et j'ai regardé, et voici un cheval pâle :

Et son nom qui était assis sur lui était la mort, et l'enfer le suivait

Et le pouvoir leur fut donné sur le quart de la terre

Tuer par l'épée, et par la faim, et par la mort, et par les bêtes des

la terre

Et j'ai vu sous l'autel les âmes de ceux qui avaient été tués pour la parole de Dieu

Et pour le témoignage qu'ils ont tenu :

Et ils crièrent d'une voix forte, disant

Combien de temps, ô Seigneur, saint et vrai

Ne jugez-vous pas et ne vengez-vous pas notre sang sur les habitants de la terre ?

Et des robes blanches furent données à chacun d'eux ;

Et il leur fut dit qu'ils devaient encore se reposer un peu de temps

Jusqu'à ce que leurs compagnons de service aussi et leurs frères

Cela devrait être tué comme ils étaient, devrait être accompli

Et voici, il y a eu un grand tremblement de terre ;

Et le soleil est devenu noir comme un sac de cheveux

Et la lune devint comme du sang ;

Et le ciel est parti comme un rouleau quand il est enroulé ;

Et chaque montagne et chaque île ont été déplacées de leur place

Et les rois de la terre, et les grands hommes, et les hommes riches

Et les hommes forts, et tout esclave, et tout homme libre

Se sont cachés dans les tanières et dans les rochers des montagnes ;

Et dit aux montagnes et aux rochers

Tombe sur nous et cache-nous de la face de celui qui est assis sur le trône

Et de la colère de l'Agneau :

Car le grand jour de sa colère est venu ;

et qui pourra se tenir debout ?
