Bewitched Herds Boys - Weltenbrand

Two boys tended cattle in the Triesner upper village

An old woman passed and greeted them but the boys just shouted

You old witch you and threw rocks after her

The woman turned around and yelled down to them

I will get you on your heels

And as if on command all the cows lifted their tails and raced towards the Rhein

The boys were forced to follow as if pulled by invisible ropes

And everything happend so fast that they tumbled many times

Dead tired and with lots of bruises they reached their cattle at the Rhein and

wanted to drive them back but of no avail all the hitting was useless

The two fell asleep in the grass

When the bells in the morning played Ave Maria the cows walked back home

The farmer saw them coming and discovered the welts

He searched for the boys finally found them full of cuts and bruises and they

told him what happened here…

Deux garçons gardaient du bétail dans le haut du village de Triesner

Une vieille femme est passée et les a salués, mais les garçons se sont contentés de crier

Vous vieille sorcière vous et jeté des pierres après elle

La femme s'est retournée et leur a crié

Je vais te mettre sur tes talons

Et comme sur commande, toutes les vaches ont levé la queue et se sont précipitées vers le Rhin

Les garçons ont été forcés de suivre comme s'ils étaient tirés par des cordes invisibles

Et tout s'est passé si vite qu'ils sont tombés plusieurs fois

Morts de fatigue et avec beaucoup de contusions, ils ont atteint leur bétail au Rhin et

voulait les repousser mais en vain tous les coups étaient inutiles

Les deux se sont endormis dans l'herbe

Quand les cloches du matin ont joué l'Ave Maria, les vaches sont rentrées à la maison

Le fermier les a vus venir et a découvert les zébrures

Il a cherché les garçons, les a finalement trouvés pleins de coupures et d'ecchymoses et ils

lui raconta ce qui s'était passé ici...
