Foxlight - Wobbler

Bewildered here, down at the crossroads

Confronted with the choices for my epitaph

A distant flame gives me a sign

Shows me a path within my mind

Too tempting are the ways that promise release

Through blissful subjection and foxlights leading the way

A vortex of realities has dragged me under

All the things I believed, what yesterday conceived is lost

Trapped inside a mirage of my own design

All things stand still

But for the drive inside

The rabbit can escape

And reach a burrow of light

Everything I’ve known

Is unveiled and defied

I let the demons go

With the ebbing tide

Here I lie, surrounded by the imagery of man

Here I lie, wondering as clarity comes 'round

Here I lie, my soul’s revived the strength to understand

Even if the pieces change

And only the journey still remains

Forever must I clear

The path on which I walk

When the foxlight shines

And tries to lure me into the wild

My compass I must find

Within the palace of my mind

Tell me, what is really light?

What is the essence of dark?

Forever must I trust

The journey of man

The rabbit can escape

Perplexe ici, au carrefour

Trop tentants sont les moyens qui promettent la libération

À travers une sujétion heureuse et des lumières du renard ouvrant la voie

Un vortex de réalités m'a entraîné sous

Toutes les choses auxquelles je croyais, ce que j'ai conçu hier est perdu

Pris au piège dans un mirage de ma propre conception

Toutes les choses restent immobiles

Mais pour le lecteur à l'intérieur

Le lapin peut s'échapper

Et atteindre un terrier de lumière

Tout ce que j'ai connu

Est dévoilé et défié

J'ai laissé partir les démons

Avec la marée descendante

Ici je suis allongé, entouré par l'imagerie de l'homme

Ici je mens, me demandant alors que la clarté revient

Ici je mens, mon âme a retrouvé la force de comprendre

Même si les pièces changent

Et seul le voyage reste encore

Pour toujours dois-je effacer

Le chemin sur lequel je marche

Quand le foxlight brille

Et essaie de m'attirer dans la nature

Je dois trouver ma boussole
