I had a strange dream,

a morning dream,

a weird and truthful dream,

A cannon’s mouth

was spitting cannonballs and fire,

and there was a red cat at a window

almost as if it were a game, he was watching

people falling off the carousel.

They were falling into the streets

and the red cat’s heart grew sad,

but he stayed at the window, as always.

La bouche d'un canon

crachait des boulets de canon et du feu,

et il y avait un chat roux à une fenêtre

presque comme s'il s'agissait d'un jeu, il regardait

les gens tombent du carrousel.

Ils tombaient dans les rues

mais sans faire beaucoup de bruit

comme des feuilles dans le vent de novembre,

et le cœur du chat rouge s'attristait,

mais il est resté à la fenêtre, comme toujours.
